Some of these "home made" solutions are the best. One thing to keep in mind, be careful not to use "antibacterial" products. I wish I knew some of my Grandfather's recipes. He was a nurseryman and knew TONS of home made techniques.

BTW, if you don't know, banana peels help control aphids. I'm told it has to do with the gas produced when the peel rots. Chuck the peels down at the base of the plant and let them do their thing.
