Zucchini

My zucchini started producing about a week or two before any of my friends' did, and I think it has already quit. How long should I wait and watch the plant before calling it "done" and clearing the spent vegetation so I can start some new seed?

RE: Zucchini

What has your weather been like? If it's been excessively hot, many plants will stop producing till it cools off some. If the plants look healthy, I'd leave them for a few weeks to see what happens, unless you're sick of zukes. Most produce abundantly all summer if no disease or critter (like squash vine borer) kills them.
