'cobwebby' evergreens?

Posted by clairebuoyant z5-6 Mi (My Page) on

HI folks,
I have 2 Alberta Spruces and 4 of those Bird's Nest Spruce shrubs (I think that's what they're called) around our patio (eastern exposure) and have noticed that they are developing a network of fine cobwebs over them. Could this be a spider mite invasion? If so, how should I address it? BTW, I'm in S.E. Mi., TIA.

Claire
