It seems the corn may be too close to the cuccumbers, and possibly the pollen got mixed.

What a hoot! Looks like some pretty fancy digital work to me, but I may be wrong. Anyway, it certainly makes one take a second look. Thanks for posting this one.

I can assure you it is not digital work. The plant is still on the vine. I will let it get bigger, since it always intrigues visitors for a few days.

LOL That's pretty unique! How big is the fruit right now? It looks fairly mature. [If it was just a wee one I'd say maybe it would out grow the weird texture. Any similar fruits on that same plant?

Only the one fruiting body.
