Looking for Clematis in Michigan

Has anyone seen or know where I can find a clematis called 'Avant-Garde'? I've called every name I know of from here to Detroit and some in Grand Rapids to no avail. The closest I got was a 'maybe' down in Farmington...must call back in a week and a half. I'm in Saginaw County but would drive to get this one (lower peninsula, that is. :))
Thanks,
Tanya

You might try Wenke's Greenhouse in Kalamazoo. I know they have a good selection of Clematis and perennials are now like 40% off as well. Their phone number is 269-388-2266. Make sure that you get confirmation that they have your specific species though, they sometimes say that they have it and then turn out not to.

Try calling "the grass garden" @ 810.599.3192. Ingrid sells cool trellises for clematis (she makes them), and carries quite a few different varieties of clematis. She's at the Northville and Ann Arbor markets and I think she has a showroom in the Brighton area.
