Golden Ladybugs

To some this may seem like a crazy question, and I did not believe my eyes!!

While checking the underside of my morning glory leaves, (which have tons of holes chewed in them), I came across 2 ladybugs which looked like they were made of solid gold.

Are these common and if so what variety are they?

I live in Central Ontario Canada, about 90 minutes north of Toronto, about a 2 hour drive from the west shore of Lake Huron.

Thanks

Toni

Toni,
I searched "golden ladybug" and this is what I found. Seems to fit the bill, morning glories and all.
