ground cover to walk on

I need to use a stepable ground cover between patio stones underneath 2 very shady trees. The area in question gets no sun at all but lots of water. I bought, apparently a very durable ground cover called Minature Brass Buttons suitable for shaded area so they said, however not one of the spriggs I put between the stones grew. Aparently in looking it up on the web it says bright sun to shade with moderate growth. Could it be becuse the area gets no sun at all or is it too wet. If anyone out there can recommend a better or different ground cover could you let me know. this minature brass button ground cover loos perfect in pictures as some use it instead of a lawn.

Bungleweed is good also. Very hardy and invasive if you are looking for something to spread quickly.

Brass buttons is tricky. I have had it a few years and then lost it. Hardy to zone 6 Ontario I think. FOr shade I recommend Irish Moss. Keep it out of the beds though.

My Irish Moss disappeared completely in the shade. :(
