| When in Southern Ontario area are apples and strawberries usually planted – in the fall or in the spring?
If in the fall is it good time to do it now? |

| This website may be able to give you some answers on your apples. From the looks of it, it says that in the north Spring is the time to plant apple trees. You didn't mention whether you are starting from seed or tree, though :( |

| In South Ontario apple trees can go in spring and/or fall. Strawberries in our area are planted in spring for optimum results. Often first year results for berries are poor and the second year is a bumper crop. I put in new plants every third year as the plants do get tired and produce less and less. Hope this helps. We used to grow for pick-your own and this worked the best. |
