Gladiola

I am thinking to grow more Gladiola next year.

The corms are easy to over winter. Don't take up so much room or care (overwintering I mean)

It is true that once the bloom is finished there is nothing but green leaf remaining. Perhaps that is why the plants are not so much grown any longer. It is I suppose mostly grown as a cut flower and that isn't maybe so popular. or people in general don't have the space for cut flower gardens.

Are there any Canadian Growers?. The only grower I cam accross on line was Pleasant Valley Nursery in the U.S.

There are some beautiful Glads I have seen.

Some of the nicest corms I got were obtained from the Stratford Garden Show in March. There is a lady there who grows them, and sells them there. They were quite large, and the blooms have been spectacular. Sorry, I don't recall her name.
