This is what suddenly happened to me wisteria. She was fine getting high and looking healthy until a few days ago when all of a sudden it started loosing her leaves and getting dry as you can see in the picture. Now, in 3-4 days time has lost half of her leaves and is going to die.
What can I do? What do you thing has happened?
Many thanks!

RE: Wisteria's disease?? please help

Although the leaves are looking dry it sounds as if your wisteria may be suffering from poor drainage or overly wet/soggy soil. Wisteria does not like a soggy bottom (but who does? LOL) and will drop leaves like mad. If you have had a lot of rain recently you might be able to attribute it to that but I would also take a look at your drainage conditions. Check the base of your wisteria, or just under the soil, to see if the roots are soft or rotted. If so, you may not be able to save it this year, but with a little amending, providing good drainage, and possibly scraping the roots (if they are still green underneath the soft part) you may have new shoots off of it next year.

Let us know if this helps and keep us updated on what you find!
