Trees resistant to Japanese Beetles

I want to plant two trees but want something that is flowering like the Dogwood and Magnolia. I want color but we have a bad problem with Japanese Beetles (who doesn't?). As far as I can tell, the two trees that would be good would be the ones I mentioned above. Does anyone know for sure if these do attract the ugly little guys? I've read some things about the Magnolia that might but can't be certain. I'm hoping for a white dogwood and something with color for the Magnolia.

Thanks!

Neither Dogwood or Magnolia attract Japanese Beetles.

The only types of trees that I know of that do are Birches, Lindens, and Willows.
