Foxglove seeds

I received foxglove seeds - the sender told me to 'scatter' them - should I do it now or wait till spring.

I saw something on a website that referred to 'wintersowing'. Could I do that?

Most Fox gloves are a Biannual. If you sew them now they may grow to bloom next year. If you do them in the spring they will not bloom untill the following year. Mother nature sews them when they stop blooming in early summer.

Yes, you can winter sow them. I would be tempted to sow some now, and some next year, and also do some winter sowing. What wannab says is right. With biennials, you want two successive years of plantings, and then you will have a steady supply for years.

Ahhhhhhh! OK - that's a good idea - I'll do some now, then some in spring.

    We'll see what happens.
