Wintering over in house Tropical Hibiscus and Mandavilla

We live in Michigan and have the most beautiful pink Mandevilla vine growing this past summer in one

of our trellis pots. Since it is becoming Fall here very quickly, we were wondering about trying to save

this plant and have it again for next summer.

We also have a beautiful Triple Trunk Tropical Hisbicus and would like to bring both plants in for the winter do we spray, cut back how do we prepare the plants to come indoors and where do we put them. Thinking basement, was thinking of spraying with soapy water and putting in bags or cover with bags. Concerned about BAGS!!!!!!!!

Does anyone have suggestions on how to bring them inside and how to care for them throughout the winter.

Thanks Lary

    Hi Lary
Place them in the shade for a week or so,then in the house by a bright window and ease up on the watering.
It is a very good idea to spray them before you bring them into the house also..
Some people cut the down and get them to come back every year, but I recommend the first way..
    cheers
