Cold-Singed Jacarandas

I subjected my J cuspidifolias to a few hrs of high 20 degree temps and the leaflets now are more brown vs green. I thought they could tolerate temps into the low 20's, although mine are immature specimens. I now have the larger 7' in the ground covered and the 3 in pots have been moved indoors temporarily. Any other suggestions?

Mine has never been that cold, but it did lose its leaves the first few winters I had it. They can go dormant and come back in the spring.
