What is good hearty pollinator variety for a desirable pecan tree? I am considering a choctaw or a kiowa. I live in Baytown, near the water.

Desirable is an early pollen-shedding (protoandrus) pecan and Choctaw and Kiowa are late pollen-shedding (protogynus)varieties. Pawnee or Caddo would be better choices since they are early also. The Harris County Extension agent would be your best source for information relative to your specific area though.
