How soon can we start planting our veggie gardens?

I have been starting seeds inside since Jan. 1st, so I am ready to plant! When will this cold weather be over? I'm ready for some home grown tomatoes!

Anyone else got the winter blahs?

I'm just starting my seeds inside on Valentine Day this year. This is also the day I prune my roses. Just a habit I got into in my old age. Love/Roses ect. lol
Started my seeds inside last year middle of Jan. and put them out around March and lost all of them to cold snap. Guess it was too early and I should've covered them when it got too cold. I'm also ready for fresh veggies and got the winter blah's.

I don't put plants out until March 20 at least..that is the last frost date for Gulfport MS...I have rushed them and regretted it. Patience is probably a virtue in gardening. One year I did have all these plastic containers and covered everything when I knew it would be cold but that was way too much trouble just to have the first tomatoes. I mulched heavy with hay that year too. I did have some great early tomatoes though. Bragging rights> LOL
