Knockout is great, but if you want a hardy rose that makes a LOT of petals, you can't do any better than Mrs. B.R. Cant. It looks like a cabbage rose, but has the toughness of Knockout. Sherry |

| If I have to pick only one, it would be the carefree, non-stop blooming Mutabilis. |

| Cramoisi Superieur (or is it Louis Phillipe?) Much more interesting bloom than Knockout -- to me at least. (Knockout is a great rose. I have 2 of them. But, EVERYBODY grows Knockout and you can't legally propagate it yourself--patent laws.) C.R. has great fragrance--Knockout has very little--and C.R. is very easy to root and grow. It also blooms almost all the time. Not quite as much landscape color as Knockout, but very good rebloom. I had one bush when I moved here 7 years ago. Now I have at least 15--all healthy. I really don't need that many, but they are so pretty and easy that I've kept them all. :) I also have Mutabilis and B.R. Cant. They are also wonderful. Countryside Roses has them. |
