It has kept me from evacuating several times. But then I do have a non traveled escape route that will put me 70 miles inland in a hour. Our last freeze I watched the freezing line approach and set the automatic sprinklers to cycle every 2 min for 4 hours. | It is real nasty outside. 43 degrees misting and a north wind around 20 mph and gusting. I could hear my plants crying for help. My brugs just started blooming. Wind chill of 37 degrees. Wow just checked Texas conditions. Pity thy fellow gardener a little north. They all might freeze. I really hope this is not an indication of more future weather conditions. This has been a freak year for conditions. |
