What is this tree?

This tree is blooming in in a yard in my town. I live on the upper Texas coast near the Louisiana border. It is in full bloom and the ground looks like a snowfall. It is beautiful and would like to know the name.

I think it is a Catapla tree.

Just for the benefit of future searches, it is a Southern catalpa or "Fish Bait tree".
