Terrible grass

I'm sure our summer has been devistating to much of the grass in this area this summer. We returned to Houston after a 2 mo. absence. I have some large areas that have been attacked by grubs. I dug up a patch and found several. I treated the grass for them in June. (spectrocide product) Can I treat again this late in the season? They are active.

Yes-treat again.
In fact, if you can aerate, then water, aerate and treat for grubs. they'll destroy the lawn's root system.

I knew I could not wait to long and went ahead and treated. Before treating, I raked with a leaf rake and mowed. We were blessed with an inch of rain the next day.
I may have had chinch bugs also. Today I put winterizer fertilizer on and soaked it well. All I can do now is watch and wait.
