Monster house plant that ate my yard

We justed moved into a new house and saw that there was some sort of house plant that was huge and growing under the eaves of the house and past the eaves of the house. My lawn guy told me last night that it's schefflera.

I don't like it growing so tall under my house so I want to get rid of some of it. Is there an easy way to pull these beasts out of the ground or is it easier to poison them somehow? They look to be at least 15 ft tall or taller--would they die if I tried to find someone that wanted them in exchange for digging them up?

My friend removes large bushes and trees by attaching a rope to the bush and attaches the rope to a vehicle and pulls it up.

As much as I love plants this is one you dont want near the house. The roots will tear up your foundation as well as the plumbing. Don't know how to tell you to move it or rid yourself of it. Just know what kind of damage it can do. Same with a Rubber tree. Hope it hasent done damage to your home.

I love these plants and until moving down here have never seen one get as huge as they do down here. I am in Texas and our neighbor has one as large as a small travel trailer.

He was kind enough to cut me a couple pieces off of it and I had no problems getting it to grow from the cuttings. I would love to help you get rid of it :) If you still have it drop me an email and I will see how far we live apart.

I have 5 acres I am starting to set in gardens and setting shiffs under my trees out in the fields would be great :)

Sanacerratx,

I'm in Houston. I had the ones in the front yard pulled out by the yard guys. I have two more left in the backyard that haven't been pulled up yet. I chopped them down but they are already sprouting up again. You are welcome to them if you are near Houston.
