Pink Indigofers kirilowii - summer heat?

I found this lovely shrub at Lowe's. I read that it might have trouble tolerating our hot summers (such as this last summer). Has anyone had experience with this plant? I don't need another plant that will struggle and die from heat stroke.

I call it Chinese Indigo. It loves the heat here in 8b. Had it growing in the courtyard, but it spreads like crazy. Dug it out last year.

Here is a link that might be useful: Indigofera

I bought this plant under the name Ground Cover Wisteria.
Natal, yours is/was beautiful. Mine's not near that pretty. How old was yours in the picture you posted?

Msflora, it was only a year old in that pic taken 4/30/10. A few months later I was pulling up runners left and right. That area gets sun early morning until about 11 am. I have some growing in a much more shaded area and it rarely blooms.
