Anyone sprout beans before cooking them?

I get gas just looking at a bean, but I love them!

I read somewhere that sprouting them before cooking them takes away the enzymes or whatever, that causes the gas.

I decided to try it! I sprouted some red kidney beans.

I rinsed them very good and threw them in my crock pot, on low, Monday morning before going to work.

They were probably cooked too long, 10 hours, they were falling apart.

They were very good though! And I didn't have the gas!

I'm sprouting some pintos for this weekend, since I will be home I can turn them off when they get done.

Any idea how long they need to cook?
