 o
stored pumpkins

I have several of the small pie pumpkins that have been stored in the basement since the first of Nov. Hoping to get them worked up before now, but life happens. Anyway,
when I went to getone today they seem a little soft and am wondering if they are still good. I thought they would keep
for several months in a cool place. My basement is usually
60 degrees or lower. I remember my grandma kept pumpkins and other squash in her basement for months. If they are not etible can I at least maybe save the seeds?

Thank you, Vonnie

And yes, you can save the seeds. 60 degrees would shorten storage time. 40-45 degrees is best "root cellar" storage temp.
