Not sure why yours have mealybugs. I cure mine in a closed car for a few days--gets really hot--then store them in a cool pantry. They're still good.

I left some of mine outside for a few days in the shade of the carport and others were under a pole barn on a trailer. Probably a week after harvest. Then they went into 5 gallon buckets or bus boy trays and have been in my sun room ever since. They're still good and will be good through the summer. Some are in direct sun, and some are under tables so they don't get sun. It's about 70F or less in there right now.
