| So I have quite a bit of satsumas (mandarin oranges) and I have a pile of blood oranges (moro variety). I was thinking of making a marmalade with the blood oranges and then I thought I might be able to use my mandarins as well with this. Unfortunately, I don't feel advanced enough to do anything with out a recipe. Can I use a plain old recipe for say seville oranges marmalade and instead sub in the red oranges? Or does some one have a great recipe that is tried and true? Thanks. |

| Bon Appetit - Blood Orange Marmalade Food in Jars - Small Batch Blood Orange Marmalade Beety Crocker - Blood Orange Marmalade I have never personally tried any of these but all the past discussions here about using both seem to have fallen orr the server. So these are just a few of the many available on the internet you could use. Safety is not a factor with marmalade recipes. Dave |
