| Hello. Thanks for all the great info on pressure canners, I've been using the forum for research. I have BWB canned fruits/tomatoes for years, but am finally ready to take the plunge on canning low-acid foods.
Farm and Fleet has the presto pressure canners on sale ($59.99 for the 16 quart!). I just want to double check before I buy whether I can get an option weight set for this model? The model number is Mfr #: 01755, and it comes with the dial gauge. Can you switch to a weight set for any presto canner or is it only the larger ones?

| Are you sure the 3 piece weight set doesn't already come with it? It does with many of the 16 qt. models. If not then yes you can order it separately (Part # 50332) and use it on that canner. Old models aside, Presto only makes 2 sizes of canner, 16 qt. and 23 qt. and the 3 piece weight set works on both. Dave |

| Wonderful, that's just the info I was looking for. I looked at the box and the description,and don't think it contains the weights, but I may be wrong. I just wanted to be sure I had the option to add it. Thanks again! |

| Yes, I think it ended May 1st. They do go on sale pretty often throughout the season. They often have good sales on jars too! |

| That's a good deal! I got mine on sale at Walmart last year for $69 at the end of the season. I just broke it in today :-) Easy to use |

| Bumping this up for 2 reasons: I noticed the canners are on sale again this week (August 18-28) for 69.99. Weight set is not included with this model, but is available elsewhere as mentioned. Also: I finally braved using mine this week, a trial run and then a batch of tomato sauce! I have both the pressure gauge and a weight set, and I found it helpful to watch both as I was learning how to get the pressure up. Thanks again for all the good advice here! |
