We freeze just as you do after cleaning them well. You can also can them whole, make syrup with them, or sub them in any of the fruit recipes at NCHFP. And or course there is always frozen pies, tarts, turnovers, etc.

Mine are all still small hard green berries.

My experience with black mulberries is that the seeds turn white when cooked, making it look like there are bugs in your jam. So I have decided for gifts to just make jelly or syrup instead, or fresh fruit pies, so I don't have to say "No those are not bugs, they're seeds".
