Our fridge/freezer unit failed somewhere between 24-48 hours ago. All items in freezer were thawed, but still VERY cold. I have dealt with nearly everything now, but have about 8 quarts of the roasted tomato/garlic soup to deal with. I have combined all of it from the 2 serving sized containers into my stock pot and have brought to the boil and simmered for about 30 minutes. My question is: can I re-freeze this now, or will we be eating soup for the next five days? Thanks in advance for your advice.

I would eat it now but that just me. Mostly meat or things that contain meat juices shouldn't be re-frozen.

Thank you for your reply, Rockguy, no meat or dairy products in that soup. I re-froze most of the soup, with the intent of simmering for at least 20-30 minutes at time of use.
