New Ellie Topp book

I was looking at something else and saw that Ellie Topp has a new book coming out next month called, Preserving Made Easy: Small Batches and Simple Techniques.

Do you think this is an update to small batch without calling it the 3rd edition? I have the 2001 edition so I was thinking this might be a good one to get. I skipped the 2007 one.

Of course no way to know for sure without seeing it but the title change is intriguing - simple techniques. The amazon blurb talks about "selected recipes" and "new twists" etc. so "new" info is possible.

Usually (not an infallible rule) a revision or later edition is listed as such. In this case it isn't so it may well be a new book.

I bought her first book and then did buy the 2007 edition when it came out. The main difference was expanded material in the frozen recipes chapter.

The 2007 edition of her previous book is 408 pages. This one is 288, so I'm wondering if this is a simplified edition specifically directed to the novice canner. But I guess we'll have to wait for Amazon reviews to be sure. Too bad there's no "look in the book" preview of index and TOC.
