Well, my surgery was the 23rd and pathology reports show that the surgeon got all the cancer so now I'm on to the next phase of treatments, but no chemo. Wahoo! I rushed like crazy the last couple of days before surgery to get the last of my garden in and now I just have a very few things that need to be planted or replanted. I can't wait until I can start harvesting and preserving. This is going to be the best year ever. Heck, it already is the best year!!!

Glad to hear it went well. Just take some time for yourself to recover. Planting can wait for a few days at least!

Thanks Deanna. I took a full week off after surgery, only doing a little bit of laundry. Now I'm doing a little bit more. I did pick up 3 Crimson Sweet watermelon plants today because the ones I started got neglected and died. Can't find any sweet potato slips anywhere. As soon as they get them in, they are sold out so no sweet potatoes this year, at least none from my garden. Actually, I think I will be waiting until time to put in a fall crop to do any more planting.
