Good Price on Corn?

I saw that Kroger's here has sweet Texas corn 6 for $1. Now would that be more economical to purchase and freeze instead of buying cans of corn? I'm thinking it might. I have a little bit of my own, but I don't have the room for growing alot, so I may do this. At least it's Texas if not local.

I make freezer corn every year. Each of my containers hold approx 3-4 ears of cut corn. I buy big bags of corn from a local farm. Their price this year is $18/52 ears, so I will be paying .35/ear.

More important is the taste. Nothing compares to the difference of freezer corn vs. canned corn :)

That sees like a pretty cheap price to me. Thats even cheaper than what andreaz6wv is paying from a farm.
