| When do I start the timer for boiling when canning? Does it need to be a roiling boil first?
Thank you for your help. Tim |

| Yes. Once it returns to a rolling boil, start timing. When it's done, turn the burner off, remove the canner if you can do so smoothlyremove the lid and let it sit for 5 more minutes. Then remove jars to a draft-free space on a towel or mat. Cool 24 hours before removing rings for storage! What are you canning? Deanna |
