Looking for Raggedy Ann Pickle Recipe

Hi-- thought I was done canning pickles, but my vines obviously thought otherwise! Anyway, I'm looking for an old recipe called "Raggedy Ann Pickles" (maybe "Raggety Ann Pickles?) My MIL has mentioned this once or twice and since I have extra cukes, I thought I'd surprise her. However I can't find the recipe. Has anyone heard of this, and do you have a recipe to share? Thanks!

RE: Looking for Raggedy Ann Pickle Recipe

To my Grandma Raggedy Ann Pickles was what we now call a jar of Bread & Butter Pickles. They were a colorful hodge-podge made with chunks or thick sliced rings of onions and red and green and yellow peppers mixed in with the sliced cukes and the usual B&B seasonings.

Supposedly the jar represented all the bright colors of the typical RA costume. Plus according to the stories Ann only ate things like onions and pickles which was why she always had the "pickle" face.

May not be what your MIL means but what I remember.

There was a "Raggedy Ann" company that marketed a number of different pickles. (Bought out by Heinz????)

If you MIL can describe for you what she remembers of those pickles we should be able to come up with something close.
