Has any one ever used one of those bags that you see with all of the ingredients in them for canning pickles, ketchup, etc? I am especially interested in the ketchup. Not sure I it would be worth my while to try it or any of them. Any feed back would be appreciated. Thanks Diane

I have used the dill pickle stuff and I like it. I think it was Kerrs brand, I don't remember for sure. I don't know about the ketchup, I don't care for ketchup so I don't make any at home.

I have used the Mrs. Wages pickle mixes - Dill, Kosher Dill, Bread & Butter, etc. with good results. Quick and easy and good for beginners to learn the basic how-tos.. Not great pickles as we prefer fermented ones but they are still good, especially the B&B. Tried the Mrs. Wages Salsa mix once - nothing special at all. Never tried the ketchup as we are really particular about the brand of ketchup we use. Haven't ever tried any of the Ball packaged mixes. If you search them by brand name here, ie: 'Mrs. Wages', you'll find previous discussions about them. Dave

Thanks, I probably will not use any of the packages for pickles or salsa, but husband wondered about the ketchup. Not sure if it would be worth my time. There are only two of us and we don't use much ketchup! But I wanted to ask for opinions. Diane
