Safety Question

When trying to remove jars of pear preserves from the boiling water bath yesterday one of the jars fell over on its' side in the water. Probably 15 or 20 seconds passed before I could get it upright again. No visible breaks and the lid is sealed. Should I be concerned? Thanks so much for your time!

RE: Safety Question

No, you should not be concerned. Your only concern is whether the lid sealed (and obviously it did).
If fruit floats to the top of jam, some folks slowly invert jars to try and agitate the contents enough to mix the fruit down in the jar.
Congratulations!!
