I have shelled a bushel of peas and want to can them. My ball only has the directions for blackeye, crowder, and field. Can I do purple hull peas the same way? Thanks!

I tried to find it with Google Dave, since I have fresh, not dried Hercules peas.

It said 40 minutes for pints and 50 for quarts. But they were talking about dried beans, is it the same processes time for fresh?

You can use either the fresh, shelled instructions given for things like limas or the one for peas - they are same time - 40 for pints and 50 for quarts.

The processing time for dried beans or peas is 75 mins for pints, 90 mins for quarts.
