| I just finished making a batch of peach jam, and had removed 4 of the 8 jars. Everything was going well until I removed the 5th jar, and the other 3 tipped over on the BWB rack. There was no leak, and all the jars popped within a few minutes. Are they still safe ? Thanks, in advance.

| Yes but I would mark the jars that tipped if possible to use first as they will be the weakest seal. When tipped food sometimes gets between the rim of the jar and the lid leading to a weakened seal. What caused them to tip? Was the water still actively boiling? The weight of the food in the jar normally keeps them upright. Dave |

| Thanks Dave, I had the rack raised on the pot to remove the jars, and I accidentally hit one side of it. I had just turned the heat off a minute or two prior. Before that it was actively boiling. ~ Judy |
