Sacre bleu(berry)!

The current heat wave (and my lack of air conditioning!) have brought canning on a temporary halt -- but here's the jams, butters and syrups I've put up in the last 3 weeks!

From 10 pounds of blueberries... low-sugar blueberry jam, blueberry syrup, blueberry butter, and blueberry lime jam.

Wow! That's a lot of blueberry deliciousness! I'm picking up ten pounds myself on Saturday. LOL Your picture certainly puts it in perspective. ;)

And the jams from two weeks ago, when I had a bounty of strawberries and apricots -- apricot butter, strawberry and ginger ale jam, simple raspberry jam and raspberry-white chocolate.

We just be jammin' up in here....

Have fun with your blueberries, msmarieh!

(What's not shown is 4 lbs of blueberries, 4 lbs of strawberries, and I'm not sure how much rhubarb in the freezer -- waiting for cooler days.)

This is what we managed to pick. About ten pounds of wild blackberries and cultivated blueberries from the neighbor's bushes.
Berries
It became seedless blackberry jam, blueberry and blackberry jam, blueberry lime jam, two blueberry pies, and the kids ate a bunch.

WOW! That is awesome!

Isn't that wonderful to see the berries transformed into rows of jewel-colored jars?

This year, my try at blueberry was a blueberry lemon verbena jam. Turned out lovely--hint of lemon flavor without being overpowered.
