has any one ever tried to dry a canteloupe? I see that there is some online for sale, but I've never tried it or eaten it...so I just cut one up and put it into thin slices and put it on the food dehydrator. It's only been about an hour, but it smells amazing.

I'd try a little bit first before filling up the whole dehydrator with several cantaloupe. To me, it tastes kinda funny, not what I expected.

the first pieces I put on there are dry enough. I really like it. It does taste different than fresh though, and much sweeter.
