| I've always been told to make sure and leave at least a 1/2 inch of space at the top of the jar before processing because tomatoes expand. But mine shrink instead. Sometime several inches. What am I doing wrong???? |

| There are several methods available for canning tomatoes so exactly how do you do yours? What is the source of your instructions? Are you doing whole, halved, or crushed? Raw pack or hot pack? BWB or PC? Method makes a big difference in the results. Dave |
