Anybody have a recipe for watermelon jelly. Saw some at a festival. The lady wouldn't tell me how to do it. Said they had recipes online. I haven't found any.

It might be considered rude to ask a vendor to give up a recipe so that you can make it yourself and not buy the product from her. If manufacturers gave out exactly how to make what they offer, what would be left for them to sell?

I get asked all the time about my preserves and how to grow my produce. Unfortunately I've given information and later found those exact people becoming a competition.

I saw a recipe on Pinterest. You can find the recipe at

I am not sure if it is safe or approved for canning. I am sure someone here will know if it is safe or not. Good luck!

I wasn't trying to get the recipe to become a competitor. This was in a different state. We always have leftover watermelon and I was just wanting to know where she got the recipe or if she made it up herself. Thanks Christina for the link. I did find a couple online last night.

I understand, but as a vendor, you never know who will be your competition the following year. Different people will have different recipes, basically little 'tweaks'.
