which Ellie Topp book is your favorite?

If you could own just one book by Ellie Topp, which would it be, and why?

I was also wondering if many of you use Linda Ziedrich's Joy of Jams... and Joy of Pickling much.
I'm trying to work a few new books into my budget and having a hard time deciding which ones to get. I have been doing a lot of both canning and pickling, so I probably can't go wrong no matter which ones I choose.
Thanks!

Ziedrich's Joy of Pickling is a must have. Fermented (including fruits, vegetables and krauts), pickles, relishes, you name it. All good, all safe, all delectable.

I've only tried a couple of her jam recipes. Both were excellent. Oh, her Elderberry Rob is a hit around here.

I use the Joy of Pickling all the time, Joy of Jams and Small Batch not so often, I also have Ball Complete and don't use that as much as Joy of Pickling. Not that I haven't gone through all the books, I do make a few recipes from them but Small Batch is probably the one I use the 2nd-most. I use the NCHFP a lot. And now I have to buy another Blue Book since I gave mine to my sister.

I haven't had the opportunity to page through Joy of Pickling, but with so many good comments, that one sounds like a winner. :)

It looks like Preserving Made Easy was published 2012. Of Ellie Topp's books, I was leaning towards that just because it is newer than Small Batch Preserving. Hopefully it still has some of her more well known and liked recipes!

Agree that Joy of Pickling is a must have.

As for Ellie Topp, personal favorite is Small Batch Preserving. We have Preserving Made Easy too but wife prefers the Small Batch book and uses it more. She says it has more diversity in the recipes.

OK, that's good to know. I checked out Small Batch Preserving from the library and found a LOT of recipes I would like to try. I would like to get them all, but will have to pace myself. :)
