| I was doing 7 quarts of green beans when the power went out 13 minutes into the cycle. When the pressure reached 'zero' I removed the weight but didn't open the canner. I took the dogs for a walk and, of course, the power came back on while I was gone. I had left the burner on so the canner was venting steam when I got back. I set the timer for 10 minutes to finish venting the canner then I reprocessed the beans for another 25 minutes.
All my jars sealed when I removed them from the canner. Will the beans be alright to eat, although a bit over cooked, or should I pitch them? |
