I grew blue potatoes for the first time this year. I wanted to make a potato salad with them along with my red norlands. I generally don't peel the red norlands for potato salad. Do I need to peel the blue potatoes?

I've only roasted blue fingerlings I grew. I do not peel them. If the potatoes are new with a very fine skin, I don't think they need peeling.

Peeling any variety first to remove the majority of the bacteria is always recommended. But if you are ok with leaving the peels on with one variety then there is no reason why you would have to peel them just because they are a different variety. Dave
