I have a recipe for making hot pepper jelly, it calls for 8 oz pouch of liquid pectin however I have only found them to be sold in boxes of 2 six oz pouches. Is it ok to use the 6oz?? Thanks.

Check with other recipes, it may have been a misprint. I have only found 6 oz boxes with 2 pouches of 3 oz. If it is not a misprint, you 6 plus 2/3 of another pouch.

I would just use the 6 oz. package. I find that liquid pectin can result in a stiff set and I doubt you'll discover there's much difference one way or the other with a smaller amount. Just my personal experience. Your mileage may vary. Carol

Thank you! I'll use the 6 oz and just roll with it.
