I would like to can a homemade salsa verde recipe using the water bath method. I have read that a certain amount of acid needs to be present. How do you know if a recipe is save to can using a water bath?

If it isn't already a tested and approved recipe for salsa - your best option of course - then feel free to post it here and we can offer suggestions.

Generally using your own made-up recipes is not recommended when it comes to canning because of the associated risks and salsa recipes can be especially risky.

There are approved and tested Salsa Verde recipes for canning available.
