My wife and I started our garden in April 2013. We planted a young Cayenne plant at the same time. We water it daily and it's given plant food once a week. My question is... How many peppers should I expect a first year Cayenne plant to yield? We have already harvested over 100 peppers from the plant. There are still many more green peppers on the it. And it is still flowering. I thought I read that a plant should yield between 70-100 peppers per year. Is this normal for a plant to produce so many peppers? The plant measures about 4ft wide by 3-4ft tall.
