| Anybody know where to find out when standard mouth half gallon jars were last made? I've looked at the jar sites, antique, collecter, and new. I sent Alltrista a note asking. I have a bunch and was trying to date them, generally. I know you can look at the way Ball is written to age those most of the time. But I have Knox keystone, Atlas Hazel, Tropical Canner, Lamb, and a number of others. I have a feeling that none of them ever made wide mouth versions of their half gallon jars. It's just in relatively recent years that wide mouth half gallons have been made. Thank you! |

| There are a lot of collectors out there and a few museums. Linked below is one of them - wish there was contact info, but I just loved the pictures. Also there are forums for collectibles if you do a Web search. That might help you find someone to talk with. |
