If a recipe (such as the Pickled Peach recipe in a recent post) calls for cling peaches, would it turn out OK if I used freestone instead? Thanks

I doubt if it would make much difference. Different varieties of peaches taste different, but not much. The prepping of the peaches would be different, much easier with freestone.

Agree that the type of peach makes no difference to the recipe except perhaps a slightly different flavor and color. Dave

Wonderful - thanks so much for the answers. Guess I'll make some spiced peaches after all!! Thanks again,
